We now turn to the motion of rigid bodies. Such bodies can rotate about an
axis. We will see that all of the concepts that we have introduced for point
masses can be extended in some way to rigid bodies. We first introduce the ideas
of angular analogs to position, velocity and acceleration. We find a set of
kinematic equations for rotational motion.
